Evening Dental Assistant Instructor- Part Time

Instructors’ primary responsibilities are to provide active and effective learning for students in all applicable educational settings, act as professional and academic role models and commit to student satisfaction. This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical and online settings as well as outside the classroom during campus and student activities. • Prepare for classes by organizing and becoming familiar with student material
• Prepare lesson plans and course material as required
• Objectively assess students for academic performance
• Effectively organize and present subject matter to students
• Effectively utilize instructional plans provided
• Supplement approved student material as required
• Ensure security of assessment tools and confidential documentation
• Effectively utilize and monitor the learning management systems
• Ensure classes are conducted for the required length of time

Faculty must have a minimum of three years of related practical work experience in the occupational field associated with the training provided. (ACCSC)

• Instructors shall have completed post-secondary training in either a state licensed school or college accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (i.e. at least a diploma). (FLORIDA)
• The candidate must have Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certifications with Florida Radiology. If they have taken the DANB or has a CDA that is equivalent to being an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. (CCC)
