KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Personnel Management and Development
a. Manage Faculty and Academic Affairs staff
• Recruit, select, orient, train, evaluate, and advise faculty members
• Improve faculty/staff retention
• Conduct performance evaluations of staff members reporting directly to the Academic Dean and manage/direct the faculty/staff evaluation process
• Manage and counsel faculty/staff
• Facilitate improvement plans/terminate faculty/staff as necessary after consultation with CSC
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, CSC, and Department of Education regulations
• Conduct required faculty meetings such as the Retention Accountability Meeting
• Ensure compliance with faculty classroom observations
• Schedule classes, campus room usage, and instructor assignments
• Monitor and improve staffing efficiencies
b. Conduct a Faculty Development Program
• Ensure implementation of faculty/staff Professional Development Plans
• Arrange a minimum of four (4) one day in-service workshops annually
• Facilitate faculty training programs
2. Curriculum Development, Implementation, and Assessment
a. Assist Campus Director with program approvals for new programs
• Analyze and review community needs in conjunction with the Career Services Department
b. Oversee curriculum development and implementation in conjunction with Vice President of Academic Affairs
• Lead local campus curriculum development efforts to ensure local curriculum is consistent with the Concorde system
• Assist program directors and faculty to implement new or revised curricula, with CSC approval
• In coordination with Career Services Director, establish, maintain, oversee, and properly use advisory boards
c. Assess curricular performance
• Review course syllabi, outlines, lesson plans, exams, and school catalog to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Conduct annual program reviews
• Promote delivery of instruction utilizing interactive technologies
• Ensure academic quality of the instruction provided to the students
• Ensure that student end of term evaluations are complete for each course
• Effectively manage and coach instructors in online courses and delivery
d. Develop and maintain a Learning Resource Center that complies with regulatory standards and that meets students needs
3. Student Services
a. Support the Admissions Department
• Make available necessary support, information, and training to assist the Admissions Department
b. Promote student development by providing services
• Participate in new student orientation and Graduation
• Develop and assess student
• Advise, coach and mentor students as appropriate and necessary
• Participate in student, campus, and community activities as required
c. Promote Student Retention
• Lead the campus student retention efforts
• Assist and support program directors and faculty in student retention efforts
• Coordinate retention efforts between all departments
4. Administrative Documentation/Reports
• In conjunction with the Campus President, complete accrediting and licensing reports required by regulatory bodies in conformance with Concorde guidelines and time frames before due date
• Complete monthly and annual CSC required reports as they relate to academics
• Implement mechanisms to meet and exceed all academic outcomes
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and ordinances to OSHA standards
• Develop an annual calendar of class schedules, days off, etc. in conjunction with the CSC calendar
• Oversee the evaluation of all student transcripts
5. Financial Management
• Monitor the expenses of the Academic Affairs Department
6. Complete other duties as assigned by the Campus President

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Master of Education or related field required
• Five years managerial experience in proprietary education or related field
• Two years prior teaching experience
• Two years’ experience in an Academic Dean position is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated experience and commitment to customer service with a continuous focus on improvement

Compensation: $110k-$150k/annually (Based on education/experience)
