Student Success Coach - Concorde Career Colleges

The Student Resource & Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting students’ personal, social, and logistical needs to help them thrive throughout their educational journey. This position focuses on mentoring students, connecting them with essential community resources, and creating an engaging, supportive experience at our San Bernardino, CA campus.
 
The ideal candidate is high‑energy, relationship‑driven, and skilled at building partnerships both on campus and within the local community. This role is essential in fostering a sense of belonging, removing barriers to student success, and promoting overall retention and well‑being.

  • Pay Range:  $23 - $26/hr (Full time with benefits)

Responsibilities

  • Mentor Students: Provide individualized support for personal challenges, basic‑needs concerns, and overall well‑being.
  • Connect to Resources: Link students with housing, childcare, transportation, food assistance, and community‑based services.
  • Drive Engagement: Plan and participate in high‑energy student events that build campus connection and belonging.
  • Build Relationships: Use an account‑management approach to conduct proactive outreach, follow‑ups, and ongoing student support.
  • Collaborate & Document: Maintain accurate records, partner with campus teams, and contribute to data‑driven retention initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required
    • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree would be ideal
  • Experience: At least 1 -2 years experience in account management, relationship management or community outreach 
  • Proven ability to build partnerships with local organizations and community resources.
  • Strong networking skills with community groups and nonprofits
  • Have experience supporting individuals through resource navigation or solution‑focused communication.
  • Interpersonal skills:   build meaningful relationships with a diverse student population 
  • Conflict resolution skills:  handle student interactions with empathy and professionalism 
  • Cross-collaboration:  Working across departments to support student success
